Behind every photograph is a person, a story, and a reason.
This is mine.
My name is Vicente Pineda, and I am a photographer based in Delaware. Photography has become the language I speak, the way I connect with people, preserving meaningful moments, and sharing the beauty I see in the world around me.
This is the story of how that journey began and the experiences that continue to shape the work I create today.

I was born and raised in Honduras. Like many kids, I had big dreams, but some of them were bigger than the world around me. I remember pretending to be a journalist, interviewing my cousins and making up stories, completely unaware that those small moments would one day shape the person I would become.

As the years went by, I often found myself alone and without many friends. Like many kids, I spent a lot of time on my phone, but somehow the camera app was all I was using, recording videos for YouTube and taking photos. Back then, I was in my Tumblr era, with Picsart being my editing app; that's when I learned a lot about editing and fell in love with it, without realizing it was the beginning of something.

As time went by, I somehow kept getting better at these kinds of pictures. I remember my cousins asking me to recreate some for them. Around the age of fifteen or sixteen, it finally hit me: "Wait, I might be good at this." I was just a kid, so I asked my parents for a camera, but I did not know that was something still far out of my reach.

An old phone was all I had; it was my way to capture the world, and it was all I could afford. A few years later, it was time to choose a path at my school, pursue a career, and follow it through. I knew it had to be something involving cameras. Maybe journalism. What I heard when I finally put that idea on the table was heartbreaking.
I couldn't explain, even if I tried, the way life works. I was lucky enough to step into new ground, where dreams are possible and hard work matters. I landed my first job when I was eighteen years old, and it paid enough for me to finally keep a promise I had made to myself a long, long time ago: getting my first camera.
I had no idea what the future would look like for me, whether I was making the right decision, or if I was even good enough at this. I didn't know anybody. I was an outlander in this land. I didn't grow up here, so the only thing that would make people trust me would be my work, and just my work itself. Not because they knew me, not because we went to school together, and not because I was their neighbor. I was scared. I was at a disadvantage.
I didn't have a long line of clients waiting for me. I was building my portfolio from scratch. For years, photography had been a dream, a passion, and a long promise to myself. Now, for the first time, I was finally doing it professionally, and there was no turning back, because if there is one thing I learned is that we do not turn our backs on our dreams just because they are bigger, far to recah, scary. I always knew this is my path, and I was not going to give it all up; for me, this is a calling. I never said I was good at it, but only time will tell.

Sometimes I wonder what that kid who dreamed of holding a camera would think if he could see me now. I think he would ask, “Did we make it?” And I would smile at him and say, “Not yet. There is still so much to do. But we're on our way. Everything we have accomplished came from believing in ourselves when it was easier not to, working hard when nobody was watching, and refusing to let go of something we are called to do”
Just like many people, I still have moments when I doubt myself, days when inspiration does not come, days when life feels difficult, and when the road ahead seems uncertain. But when I look back, I see every obstacle, every sacrifice, every risk, and every step that brought me here.
But more than anything, I see a little kid, a kid who was told this path was impossible. If I do this, if I don't quit, it's because of him, because he didn't have the support a dreamer kid should have, because he pleaded, cried, begged, because after all, he did not give up, and because of him I am here.
Today, I have the privilege of living his dream. If there is one thing this journey has taught me, it is that where you come from does not define where you can go. Dreams matter, but they only become real when you are willing to work for them, believe in them, and keep moving forward no matter how long the journey takes.
At Vicente Productions, we believe that life is beautiful and worth capturing. No matter how small, but something way powerful and is something we take so much pride in, are the stories we are able to photograph, every couple, every family, every celebration or event.
We take that work because it matters, because we believe in it, because it deserves to be captured and shared. This issue is all about those wonderful stories of people who stood in front of our camera and shared not only with us but with the world their smiles and their connection, and why they decided to choose us.

There is something people often say when they choose not to professionally capture a moment, and it usually sounds like this: "It's really nothing." "It's something small."
But not many people realize that there is no such thing.
Time means something different to everyone. For those who do not have much of it, it can mean the world, and every second counts. For the people around them, it can be even more valuable, and remembering those moments is often the key to happiness. Then there are those who feel like time means nothing at all. It flies by. It comes and goes.
Still, there is one thing both sides share: whatever you do, it will never be exactly the same if you do it again.
The closest way to return to a moment in time is to feel it again, to see it again, and a photograph has the power to do exactly that—and more.
So no, no moment is too small to be captured.

It is funny and awkward at the same time—the feeling of being photographed, being told what to do and how to do it. But the reason behind it is pure and sincere. One of the reasons we guide people during a session is not because we are looking for a specific or perfect pose, but because we want to see what happens when they try. We want to capture those genuine reactions and authentic emotions that unfold naturally in the moment.
"Seeing the love between your clients is something you can’t fake," a client said, and that is exactly what makes those moments so special. The smile that appears when they feel a little awkward is often the most real one of all—perfect, raw, sincere, and completely genuine.

The truth is that every time we are about to photograph a session—whether it is small or large, for couples, families, or individuals—we still get nervous because of the impact we want those photographs to have. For us, it is never about simply pressing the shutter button; it is always about asking, "What if? How can we make this better? What would happen if?" Photography is about experimenting in the moment, working with the atmosphere of the location, and discovering what is possible. Once we achieve that, we know we have succeeded.
That is where the real magic happens, and it is that work that inspires others to want the same experience. — "Vicente has captured so many beautiful moments for family and friends. I wanted family photos, and he was the obvious choice." Seeing words like that reminds us that we are doing our job well, and for us, it is all about building that trust.

It is difficult as a photographer to say, "This is the right picture" or "That is the best photograph," because we are always capturing, and each story has its best moments and highlights. Every session is different, and that is what makes each photograph unique and original. We are fortunate to be the ones who get to tell those stories through our own perspective, and that is what makes our work different as well. Yet the moments themselves remain—with us, with you, and with everyone involved. As one client beautifully shared, "Special moments deserve to be captured and preserved."
Life has a way of moving forward, whether you are ready or not. That is one of the reasons people choose to freeze certain moments in time—moments we can cherish for years to come. The beauty of having these photographs is that they allow us to appreciate those memories even more as time passes.
— "Life moves too fast, and pictures help you hold onto special moments a little bit longer." That, and that alone, is the true power of a photograph—a story, a feeling, and a moment beautifully preserved.
As photographers, there is no greater feeling than watching our work continue through the voices of the people we have had the privilege of photographing. When they share their experience and describe it as memorable, authentic, and beautiful, we are reminded that our purpose goes far beyond creating images. It means we created something they truly felt. As one client shared, the session was "memorable, authentic, beautiful," while another described it as "playful, natural, comfortable." Those words become the greatest reward, because they tell us we did more than take photographs—we created an experience worth remembering.

One client shared that they felt "welcomed and calm," knowing that whatever happened, it would be captured just as they had imagined. Another described feeling "comfortable, confident, and valued," while another simply said they felt "comfortable and grateful." Those words stay with us, stay with me, and they remind me that creating a welcoming environment is just as important as creating beautiful photographs.

Every session is different because every person is different. Our goal has never been to rush the experience or ask people to become someone they're not. Or even worse, duplicate a session for two different clients. One client shared that they "never once think to have someone else take my pictures" because they always felt calm and never rushed or staged. Another described the session as "a wonderful experience," because the truth is that I am an overshooter; I often go over the time schedule, and it always pays off, their smiles, their words when they post their photos- that for me, it's everything.

There are many ways to measure success, but for us, the greatest compliment is knowing someone would trust us again. Hearing words like, "I'd pick you again and again," or "You captured my whole world in one session. I'm forever grateful," is something we never take for granted. is something we take with us always, those words give me, as

Beyond every photograph and every gallery delivered, the greatest reward will always be the trust people place in us to tell their story. I WILL ALWAYS BE FOREVER THANKFUL.
Building a brand can feel overwhelming, especially when you are just starting and have more questions than answers. This issue is not about having everything figured out. It is about taking an idea, believing in it, and giving it a chance to grow. Through my own experience building Vicente Productions, I learned that every brand starts somewhere, and often that place is much simpler than people imagine. If you have ever dreamed of creating something of your own, I hope these lessons remind you that it is possible, and that every great journey begins with a single step.

The way I started my own business is pretty interesting because it was never part of my plans. Since I was a kid, I always dreamed of doing something important, something remarkable. At first, that passion came through creating videos and experimenting with my phone camera, not because I wanted to build a business.
As time went by, photography became a bigger part of my life. I spent years practicing, experimenting, and trying different things. What started as curiosity slowly became something more. I was not focused on making money or building something. I was focused on learning, improving, and discovering what I truly enjoyed doing.
Eventually, a simple question came to mind: What if I actually do something with this? What if I share it with the world? That was the moment when an idea started becoming something real. Not because I had everything figured out, but because I was finally willing to take the possibility seriously.

Once I decided I wanted to do something with photography, the first thing I needed was a name. I wanted my name to be part of the story because I wanted people to know who was behind the work. That is how Vicente Productions was born. A brand is more than a logo or a name, but every brand needs a place to begin.

One mistake many people make is believing they need everything before they can begin. The truth is, I started with what I had. I was not the best photographer, I did not have the best equipment, and I certainly did not have all the answers. What I did have was enough to take the first step.

A brand cannot grow if nobody knows it exists. As I continued taking photographs, I shared my work, created content, and looked for ways to put my name out into the world. Building a brand means being willing to show people what you do, even while you are still learning and improving.

One of the most important lessons I learned is that growth often comes through unexpected opportunities. Working with organizations, participating in projects, and being open to new experiences helped me reach people I never would have met otherwise. Sometimes the next step forward comes from simply saying yes.

Success rarely happens all at once. It is built through consistency. Every project, every photograph, every client, and every connection became another brick in the foundation. The more I worked, the more I learned, and the more confidence I gained in what I was creating.

Today, when I look back, I can see that none of this happened overnight. It started with a passion, grew through hard work, and became something real because I kept moving forward. If there is one thing I hope others take away from my story, it is this: you do not need to have everything figured out to begin. You just need the courage to start and the determination to keep going.
